Cookie Policy
This policy explains browser storage in relation to icefishing.radio.am. In the current static design, we do not intentionally set cookies, save persistent preferences, install analytics or advertising pixels, or embed a game. Commercial destinations remain unconfigured. This is not a claim that a public host has already been audited: hosting and any security-layer behavior still need confirmation before launch. We separate the features that are absent from general explanations of technologies used elsewhere. A category heading below does not mean that category is active here. Read this page with our privacy policy, which covers processing beyond storage on your device.
Introduction
We want readers to know what actually happens, not work through a generic list of tools we might use someday. This draft reflects the planned service on 26 October 2026. Opening an article is not permission to add undisclosed tracking.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small item stored by a browser for a website. It can help recognize a session or remember a setting. First-party and third-party describe the relationship to the site being visited; session and persistent describe different lifetimes. These labels alone do not tell you whether a cookie is necessary, harmless or subject to consent requirements.[4]
The ICO’s public cookie guidance explains the basic concept and links to browser controls. It is UK guidance, not a legal determination for every edition of this site. Similar storage technologies also need attention even when a feature is not called a cookie.
Why We Use Cookies
Our planned article service does not need site-controlled cookies: there is no login, basket or personal dashboard. Language selection uses a page address, not a stored profile.
We do not label nonexistent cookies “essential.” Any future storage needs its actual purpose and behavior explained before use, not a justification borrowed from an unrelated casino.
Types of Cookies We May Use
The following inventory distinguishes the present design from services that would require a separate review. “Not configured” does not grant advance permission to activate something later.
| Category | Current site position |
|---|---|
| Account or session | No site accounts or login |
| Analytics | No analytics service installed |
| Affiliate attribution | No commercial destination configured |
| Advertising | No advertising pixels |
| Saved preferences | No persistent preference storage |
| Hosting security | Production configuration not yet confirmed |
The final inventory must match the public environment.
Essential Cookies
Some websites use storage to maintain a signed-in session. Our article pages offer no such session, and we have no identified site-controlled essential cookie. Menus and internal links do not themselves justify one.
A future host or protection layer may differ. Its technology and purpose need examination before being labelled essential; static files alone do not prove storage-free hosting.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics can be used elsewhere to measure visits or interactions. We have not installed that kind of service here, and we do not use session replay or a visitor identifier to reconstruct reading behavior. There is no analytics consent switch to operate in this version.
Hosting request records are a different issue. They may exist without an analytics cookie and require their own privacy assessment. Clearing cookies does not delete those records. If measurement is added later, the notice must describe its real provider, data and controls rather than implying this policy already authorized it.
Affiliate Cookies
Referral systems can associate an action on an external service with a referring publisher. We have no configured commercial destination or active site-controlled affiliate cookie in this version. A non-routing action cannot be used to register an account or claim an offer.
If commercial links are proposed later, their actual tracking behavior must be checked. A disclosure about possible payment is not a substitute for explaining device storage where relevant. Once you independently visit another service, its cookies are controlled by that service; our current lack of referral tracking does not establish its practices or permission to operate in your location.
Advertising Cookies
We do not install ad-network pixels, create remarketing audiences or use behavioral advertising cookies in this design. There is no advertising preference profile to reset on our pages. The appearance of game information or artwork should not be mistaken for an active advertising-technology integration.
External source or help pages have their own technology and policies; following a reference does not extend our storage description to their pages.
Preference, Security and Anti-Spam Cookies
Language selection does not persist in localStorage or a cookie. We have no forms, comments or CAPTCHA, and fonts are planned as self-hosted assets.
Public-host security behavior remains unconfirmed. Any challenge or stored identifier needs investigation before launch. A security label must describe a real function, not conceal advertising or unspecified retention. Our article design cannot certify a host’s behavior.
Cookies, Result Pages and Prediction Claims
Cookies cannot give this publisher privileged access to future game outcomes. We have no live results connection and no feature that learns a reader’s betting history. Any clearly labelled example is explanatory content, not a personalized recommendation or a current outcome feed.
Be wary of claims that accepting storage, enabling notifications or installing an extension will unlock guaranteed predictions. A browser permission does not establish the truth of a forecasting claim. Do not confuse deleting a local identifier with changing a casino balance or resetting the game. Those are separate systems outside this publishing site.
Cookies and Third-Party Embedded Content
An embed can load a different service inside a page, potentially making requests before you navigate away. This version does not embed a game, video player, live chat or results widget. A still image or ordinary link should not be described as an interactive provider session.
If an embed is considered later, we must check what it loads, whether it stores identifiers, who controls them and what access or consent conditions apply. Calling it a demo would not remove those questions. A link to a provider page is also not evidence of permission to reproduce or embed that provider’s service.
Consent Management
There is no cookie-consent dashboard or stored consent preference in the current design. We do not display a fictional “reject all” mechanism while loading optional tracking behind it. Nor do we say that scrolling, closing a notice or continuing to read grants blanket consent.
Whether consent is needed for a specific technology depends on its purpose and applicable law. The ICO cookie guidance provides a UK explanation and is marked as under review. Before launch, the actual hosting and storage behavior must be reconciled with regional requirements. The absence of a banner alone is not proof of either compliance or a violation.[4]
How to Control Cookies in Your Browser
- Open your browser’s privacy or site-data settings.
- Inspect data for the relevant domain.
- Remove that site’s data or adjust blocking controls if you choose.
- Reload the page and check whether the behavior changes.
Menu names vary by browser and version. The ICO page links to official browser help rather than prescribing one universal sequence. Blocking or clearing data can sign you out of other services or remove preferences there. It does not automatically delete server-side records, cancel a subscription, close a gambling account or send an erasure request to a publisher.[4]
Mobile Cookie Controls
On a phone or tablet, storage settings may be found within the browser application or the device’s settings. An in-app browser can have different controls from your usual browser. If you cannot find the relevant option, consult the browser’s own current help rather than install an unknown cleaner application.
Private browsing can limit what is retained locally, but it should not be treated as anonymity from every network or service. Closing a private window is not self-exclusion from gambling. If shared-device privacy matters, consider notifications, saved passwords and account sessions on external services as well as cookies.[4]
Cookie Retention and Updates
We have no site-controlled cookie expiry schedule to list for the present design. Inventing a duration would misdescribe the service. Browser caching, any future host storage and an external service’s identifiers can each have different lifetimes.
Before public launch, a storage review must establish whether the final environment introduces anything beyond these planned features. A policy change should identify the changed practice rather than merely refresh its date. If optional technology is later introduced, previous reading is not advance consent. For server records and unanswered retention questions, see the privacy policy rather than assuming every technical trace has the same expiry.
Responsible Gambling and Cookies
Privacy controls and gambling controls serve different purposes. Clearing browser data does not cancel an official self-exclusion. It is not a reliable way to stop access, close an account or prevent future betting. Do not treat it as a substitute for self-exclusion, blocking tools or support when gambling is causing harm.[6]
Our responsible-gambling page explains those options without claiming a universal scheme. If a gambling-management tool relies on particular settings, follow its own instructions rather than trying to defeat it. Changing storage to bypass a restriction undermines its protective purpose; this site does not provide bypass advice.
Contact About Cookies
A verified publisher contact is pending before launch. The contact page is not a working form. To report unexpected storage later, note the page, browser, domain and time, without private values.
Do not send browsing-history exports, session tokens or casino logins. Hosting behavior and contact details still need resolving; this draft does not certify the eventual public website.
